Tailgating at the Santa Fe Opera

Tonight, the Santa Fe opera opens it’s 60th season. Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West (The Girl of the West) is the Santa Fe Opera’s 2016 season opener. There’s a long tradition of tailgating at the Santa Fe Opera. Spreads run from elaborate themed menus with wine, flowers and candelabras to simple meals eaten at a card table or in bag chairs. The opening night feasts tend to be more elaborate. Dress runs the gamut from black tie to jeans and anything in between.  We shot this feast that belonged to a group of Santa Feans we know at  last year’s season opener. Here’s to a successful Santa Fe Opera 2016 season. We shot a bunch of photos last year. Click here if you want to see a range of pre-opera diners.
